The American Fashion Press is part of what causes young talent to fail rather than flourish.

Are you a young American fashion designer who makes amazing fashion? Do you know that's what you are because every single day and night that you or anyone else wears your work they get stopped and asked, "Who are you wearing", or, "Where did you get that?" Do you also have less than $100,00 to spend on promotion? If you wait to be discovered by the fashion press and bought by retailers it's likely not ever going to happen.

125 peices of design, 125. Not one from a true emerging designer. I'm not debating the designs. I'm not questioning the talent of the designers. I'm saying the American fashion press needs to get out of it's high chair and stop getting spoon feed. Do your damn job and spotlight talent that needs you.
